Books and reading is one of the greatest past times in the world. It is something a few do a lot, some do regularly and many don't do enough. I know in this busy world finding time to read is next to impossible. So if something on this blog strikes you as interesting; I suggest you set aside some time and read it for yourself.

Sin City: The Hard Goodbye
This is the 1st collected series, a re-visitation
that I am doing for this blog, partly because of the fact that there is a new
movie coming out this fall & also this is a series of work that is
understood better if it is read together.
This 1st volume The Hard Goodbye introduces us to the
character of Marv. Marv is in my opinion
the number 1 supporting character of all of the Sin City yarns because he is in
the background of most of the stories.
When I 1st read this book the 1st movie was just
coming out. The plot is pretty strait
forward underdog / loser goes up against the most powerful family in the city
for revenge of a lost loved one. If you
don’t like lots of graphic violence this series may not be for you. I have to admit this story has lost some of
the appeal for me. The story is
interesting & a good read but for me the art is still the main thing that
draws me in hopefully that will remain true as I continue through the series.
