Robopocalypse

This story is written in a journal format touching on the turning points that lead to the beginning & conclusion of a major humanity shifting historical event.  Some of the characters in the story are actually interesting to read about while others are not developed enough for the reader to care about such as Lurker.  The main character Cormac Wallace is probably the most interesting of the entire book & the prologue is one of the more engaging prologues I’ve read recently.  I loved the buildup to the event in which the robots take over, but I thought the ending was kind of anti-climactic with Nine-Oh-Two.  I thought the saddest part of the book was when Jack bought it on the march to destroy Archos.  I wish the story continued to focus on more of the overseas characters which they dropped somewhere in the middle of the story for no reason.  Takeo Nomura was just becoming interesting when the story stopped focusing on him.  The introduction to Archos when he is first created is actually chilling.  I think this will make a great movie.  If you liked this book though you’ll most likely enjoy Prey by Michael Crichton.
